The Scheppach HBS261 is the bandsaw of choice for hobbyists, model builders, and DIY enthusiasts seeking precision in cutting hardwoods, softwoods, plastics, or aluminium up to 120mm in height. With this cutting capacity, it can even handle beams. The HBS261 excels at producing straight cuts and elegant curves, as the workpiece is moved on the table while cutting.This bandsaw offers significantly finer cuts compared to a circular saw, although it's not as intricate as a scroll saw for delicate work and internal cutouts. The workpiece is guided towards the blade on the sturdy work table, featuring two workpiece stops for optimal positioning and finger protection. The rip fence with quick locking ensures precise longitudinal cuts, while the cross-cutting gauge allows you to create specific angles for bevel cuts. The work surface has a base size of 300 x 380mm, extendable to 535mm when needed. Furthermore, the table's angle can be smoothly adjusted up to 45 degrees with the help of an angle scale, allowing for bevel angles of up to 45 degrees. Tool-less locking is facilitated by a quick clamping system. With a 550W induction motor, the HBS261 achieves a maximum cutting speed of 960 metres per minute while maintaining a smooth operation. If necessary, the speed can be reduced to 660 metres per minute for precise cutting results. Thanks to the circularly welded saw blade, a cutting height of 120mm and smoother blade operation is possible. The 6 - 13mm width of the blade minimises material loss during cutting, enabling fine edges, corners, and precision down to the millimetre. The HB261 is compatible with all common 1790mm saw blades up to 13mm in width.
