The Makita DBN500ZJ Straight Finish Second Fix Nailer is used for "softer" or more delicate interior work or finishing work. That is, jobs where the nails will be visible and need to be neat. Smaller nails are used to reduce potential damage and impressions. A second-fix nailer should be used on more delicate areas. It is part of the LXT 18V cordless range, allowing you to use your existing Makita batteries and chargers with no need for disposable gas cells. It fires 18 gauge finish nails from 15 to 50mm long and, with a fully charged 18V 3.0Ah BL1830 battery (sold separately), it will fire approximately 1,000 nails. A rocker switch allows you to choose between sequential or bump fire modes, and the slim tip nose helps you place the nail exactly where you want it. The tool design means there is only 28mm between the nail exit and the front face of the body. The low reaction force gives you better control and makes operation more comfortable for the user.
