Both deliver up to 1600 lumens from a compatible 18V tool battery, but they light a space in different ways. Choose the 360° model to spread light all around you, or the 180° model to illuminate the working area in front of you. The difference is simple, and it makes choosing your next site light a lot easier.
Built for the way work actually moves
A fixed light is only useful until the job shifts to the next room, the next bench or the other side of the site. Pick up an Excel portable LED site light and take illumination with you, whether you are fitting out an interior, working in a workshop, tackling a garage job or carrying out maintenance after daylight fades. Our two 18V cordless work lights share the same maximum output and multi-brand battery approach. What changes is the direction of the beam: wide light around the unit or broad light across the task ahead.
Both lights have three brightness settings, a brightness level indicator and a low battery indicator. Use full output when you need maximum visibility, then turn it down when the task calls for less light. Their tough construction is intended for regular site use, and both come with a three-year standard warranty. A battery and charger are not included, so you can put a compatible 18V battery you already own to work.

Working in the middle of the action? SKU 10727 casts light all around its position rather than concentrating it in one direction. Its 360° LED COB design delivers up to 1600 lumens, helping you see around a work area when tasks or people are spread across more than one side of the light. It is a practical choice for a workshop, maintenance area or room where you want broader surrounding visibility without repeatedly moving a directional lamp.
Choose between 400, 800 and 1600 lumens to match the light to the moment. The 6500K colour temperature gives you a crisp daylight-style light, while the brightness indicator shows the selected setting and the low battery indicator gives you a useful prompt to change batteries. This compact cordless site light is made to move easily between jobs and has an IK08 impact rating for demanding working environments.
We include adaptors for Makita, DeWalt and Milwaukee 18V battery systems. If you work with Festool, HiKOKI, Metabo or Bosch, optional adaptors are available separately. That makes SKU 10727 especially useful when you need a portable 360° work light that fits into an existing tool-battery setup. It is supplied as a body only, without a battery or charger.
Excel 18V 1600 Lumens 180° Portable Site Light Body with Multi-Brand Adaptors
Want the light focused across the work in front of you? SKU 10728 delivers up to 1600 lumens with 180° coverage. Set it beside the area you are tackling and give the bench, wall or working space ahead a broad wash of light. Its handle-style design makes it easy to pick up and move as the job progresses, making it a strong fit for site tasks, garages, workshops and repairs where you want to place light near the task.
Three brightness settings let you choose 25%, 50% or 100% output, while a brightness level indicator shows which setting you are using. The low battery indicator helps you plan the next battery swap before the work is left in the dark. Like the 360° version, this is a cordless 18V light with a 6500K colour temperature and robust construction intended for site use.
Makita, DeWalt and Milwaukee adaptors are included in the box. Separate optional adaptors extend its use to Festool, HiKOKI, Metabo and Bosch battery systems. Pick SKU 10728 when the job calls for broad, directed illumination in front of the light and you want to use an 18V battery already in your kit. Battery and charger are not included.
Choose 360° coverage when work surrounds the light
Go for SKU 10727 if the light will sit within the working area and you want illumination spreading around it. That makes sense when you are moving about a room, working at several points around a bench or need general visibility around your position. Its selectable 400, 800 and 1600 lumen settings give you a clear choice of output for the task.
Choose 180° coverage when the work is in front of you
Choose SKU 10728 when you can place the light behind or beside you and illuminate the task ahead. Its broad 180° coverage is suited to a defined working area such as a garage bay, fitting location or workshop bench. You still get up to 1600 lumens, but the direction of the light is better matched to a job happening on one side.
Check your battery setup before you order
Both are body-only lights powered by separate compatible 18V batteries, and neither includes a battery or charger. Each includes Makita, DeWalt and Milwaukee adaptors; the Festool, HiKOKI, Metabo and Bosch options are separate accessories. Make sure you have a suitable battery, charger and the right adaptor for your battery system. Then pick the coverage that suits the space: 360° around the light or 180° across the work.
